I am siting at work and I feel like crying because I have all these feelings on my chest that I can’t seem to control.
When I met you, I just didn’t know, you know, how powerful an influence you would be for me. You taught me that not everything was black and white, compassion and patience.
You know, when I was lining up your licenses the other day I realised just how much you’ve grown! You were such a wise boy that sometime i forget you are a man now. You make me so proud! Everyday you amaze me, your quirks and your stories and your undying love.
YOU HAVE HELD MY HAND THROUGH SUCH HARROWING TIMES. They were real and confronting and you made me feel like I had hope in such a hopeless sad body.
I love you. I love the way you walk into a room, smile and give me peace. You are my family, you are life itself. Thank you for loving me back.
Today it’s been 7 years since I started dating my best friend. Straight after sending him this I started laughing and crying so hysterically in my work kitchen, I swear my colleagues are going to commit me. -
Disgusting love stuff

“You are my favourite place in Minneapolis” - probably the strongest thing ANYONE has ever said to me.

…Just want to say that I think you’re such a brave young lady, honest with yourself & others about your journey. (Not to mention intelligent & beautiful!) take care & I’ll definitely see you before your big adventure! Xx
Something lovely someone said to me last night -
…And i’m in love with you and our tiny bed in the upstairs front room in a run down terrace house. It’s obviously as perfect as it sounds. Even in the summer when the cardboard window that you tape on everyday falls out and wakes us up…
The Smith Street Band -
Has anyone ever loved you SO much
they have shown up at your door at 2:30am
crying
not sure how they are going to live without you?
thank God
I have.

On Thursday night, Jo and I sat in the hospital emergency room and read statistics on women in poverty worldwide and the reasons behind this and about our plans to volunteer overseas next year in South America. On Friday we went shopping together to buy for and make a “women’s necessities” hamper for Wesley Mission Christmas Appeal. Today I found out Jo made a small donation to those currently in need in Syria and for Xmas we want to make a donation to the Breast Cancer foundation in honour of his mother’s life, for his father. I guess what I’m trying to say is, recently, learning Spanish to volunteer next year and organizing to help others with someone I love is makes me the happiest I could ever be! I am so lucky I am with someone who cares so strongly for others.

(If you don’t know what it feels like to have someone you love put a hand below your bottom rib for the first time, what chance is there for love?)
The History of Love -
today I found a random piece of paper cleaning my room that I’d scribbled:
“you and I have the same laugh”
and I can’t, for the life of me, remember who I wrote it about.
but…what a wonderful thing to feel about someone.
…how could I forget something so perfect?

I think you KNOW you’re in love with someone when the very sight of them walking to their car to drive away is the worst kind of punishment imaginable, when your only crime was bad timing.
